Playing With Light (ages 5-7)
Tuesdays, 4–5 p.m., April 9–May 28
How is a shadow made? Where do rainbows come from? In this workshop, we will work as artists and scientists to play with light and invent ways to capture it. Using tools like shadow screens, mirrors, and lights will set the scene for 8 weeks of exploration and art making. Let's design glowing lanterns, shimmering kaleidoscopes, and mobiles that scatter shadows. Come play with light!
Tuition is $250, which includes all materials.

About Us
When children explore materials together and design and implement projects, they experience a special joy, determination, creativity, and empowerment. At Brooklyn Craft Workshop we create a space for that experience.
We are Ilana Friedman and Rachel Schwartzman, a team of experienced elementary school teachers and craftswomen. Ilana specializes in pottery, illustration and paper art. Rachel is owner and designer of Pomelo Press, and specializes in print making and sewing. Together, we have spent countless evenings printing wildflowers onto napkins, etching seashells onto mugs, and dreaming up the Brooklyn Craft Workshop.
We look forward to seeing you!
